Bio Janus Welton, AIA, BBEC, Architect
Balancing Art and Technology, Aesthetics and Function, Harmony and Sustainability, Architect and Designer, Janus Welton, is a bridge linking the Contradictions, simplifying the complexities, and shaping a new Design sensibility for the 21st century. Janus brings over 18 years of Classical Feng Shui training and experience incorporating Classical Feng Shui into her 28 year career in Design and Architecture. She has Feng Shui Certification with the American Feng Shui Institute in Los Angeles and the New York School of Feng Shui in Manhattan where she has taught for 6 years. Recently she joined the faculty of the International Institute of Feng Shui and Ecology, offering classes in Manhattan and Woodstock.
Janus is also Owner/ Principal of Eco-Arch DesignWorks where she combines a thorough knowledge of Feng Shui with Environmentally Sustainable Architectural and Interior Design. Her specialties include: Classical Feng Shui, Vastu Shastra, Ecological Planning, Energy Efficient, Solar, “Sustainable Green Design”, and Sustainable & Healthy Building Design. These strategies include remediation of Indoor Air and Water quality, Electromagnetic Stress Reduction, and designing Healthy Homes and Workplaces.
Traditionally schooled and credentialed, Janus has traveled the world to acquire and assimilate into her practice, knowledge of the Art and Architecture of Ancient Cultures, the Vastu Shastra of India, and the Feng Shui of China. These Influences can be seen in her work as a Senior Designer for Walt Disney Imagineering and as Director of Concept Architecture for Retail and Entertainment Centers for Sony Development, and in Los Angeles, where she designed award winning single family residential and multifamily communities.
Janus is currently working on Residential and Commercial Projects in Woodstock, New York, where she now resides and offers this wealth of talent, knowledge, and experience in private practice.
