Receive your Sustainable Building Advisor Certificate from the Leading Sustainable Building Training Program in the Nation |
- Learn how to improve a building's economic and environmental performance
- This nine-month, specialized training program enables graduates to advise employers or clients on strategies and tools for implementing sustainable building.
- You will learn how to:
- Identify and articulate key sustainable building practices
- Apply LEED™ and other relevant criteria and established guidelines
- Analyze costs and benefits of incorporating sustainable building measures
- Establish sustainable design goals and achieve them in your projects
- Take advantage of financial incentives and technical assistance offered by
governments, utilities and non-profits organizations
- Nine Sessions: January – June 2008, at three week intervals, from 9am to 5pm on Fridays, and 9am to 3pm on Saturdays, with lectures, field trips, and hands-on exercises presented by respected experts in the field.
- Graduates have the option of taking an exam to earn a National Sustainable Building Advisor Certificate. Examination fee: $250

A specialized training program designed to enable building professionals to advise employers or clients on strategies and tools for implementing sustainable building.
Free Information Session Friday, October 26, 2007, 4:30 PM
By the end of this training program, participants will be able to:
- Identify and discuss the key practices of sustainable building
- Establish competencies in applying LEED™, BUILT GREEN™ and other relevant criteria or established guidelines
- Analyze the costs and benefits of incorporating sustainable building measures
- Take advantage of financial incentives and technical assistance offered by governments, utilities and non- profit organizations
- Work with architects, designers, builders, building operators, and utilities to improve a building’s performance
- Establish a sustainable design goal for project development
- Assist in the education and training of staff in sustainable building
At successful completion of course and certification examination, graduates earn certification from National Sustainable Building Advisor Program.
Meets Fridays and Saturdays at three week intervals from January 4 – June 28, 2008
